THE PROJECT

Overview

Throughout high school, I worked on designing a centrifugal turbojet engine. The surviving work includes compressor and turbine designs, combustion-chamber models, and parts prepared for prototype printing.

Most of the original project files were lost with my old computer. This page brings together the models and images that survived.

INSIDE THE DESIGN

From components to an engine

The surviving assembly view

This transparent view records how the internal components were arranged in the original design. The individual models below provide a closer look at three parts of the project.

The component images are new views rendered from the surviving 3D files.

Impeller

The archive contains a CFturbo compressor project and several exported impeller revisions, including versions labelled V5, V6, and V7.

Combustion chamber

Several combustion-chamber parts survive in the full-body PLA test folder. This view shows one of those models.

Turbine

The turbine work includes its CFturbo project, earlier CAD revisions, and a model exported for prototype printing.

DEVELOPMENT

Iterations and prototype preparation

The saved revisions record multiple stages of the impeller and turbine designs. Separate test-print files include an impeller and impeller shroud, while the full-body test folder also contains the compressor, stator, shaft housing, and combustion-chamber parts.
